Supernatural Season 9 Episode 1 (SPOILERS INSIDE, JUST READ THE BEGINNING IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE SHOW OR ANYTHING PAST THE LAST SEASON YOU WATCHED)

Alright so, yes. It's that time of year again when my feels start losing themselves in the myriad of new shows that I've come to love so very much.

Today, we'll be talking about the new Supernatural episode that appeared for season 9. If any of you are uncomfortable about spoilers then please do not read on. I am about to unload a crap load of my comments and thoughts on the new episode that premiered. If you don't know what Supernatural is, then you really need to educate yourself on this epic show, but for now, I suppose I'll give you a brief summary of what this show is about.

From left to right: Dean(Jensen Ackles), Sam(Jared
Padalecki), Castiel(Misha Collins)
Supernatural is a show about two brothers who go around the country to fight all sorts of things that go bump in the night. The brothers are Sam(Jared Padaleki) and Dean(Jensen Ackles) Winchester(pictured below). They've fought all sorts of creatures like gods, angels, demons, and even the Devil himself. They have a hard life, but it's what they know how to do, and frankly I'm not gonna stop them. They meet an angel named Castiel(Misha Collins; also pictured below) who raised Dean from perdition. Cass, as he's affectionately known by the boys helps them out on some of their "cases" that they solve. He mainly fights against the angels, and meets up with a few who will fight along side him. However, that's all I can tell you for now without spoiling the rest of the series.

SO PLEASE, NOW IS YOUR LAST WARNING!!! SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!!!

Still here....?

Alright, well then, on with more pressing matters!!!

So, obviously, at the end of the last season, Sam didn't complete the trials to close Hell and Metatron tricked Cass into shutting the angels out of heaven, causing them all to fall.

Now, Sam is in a coma, and Dean sends out an open prayer to any angel when Cass doesn't respond to his calls. Dean is depressed when no angels answer his calls, a grieving counselor walks in and is confused when Dean asks if she's an angel. He has a revelation that he still has Crowley, the King of Hell, still in the trunk of the Impala.

Two angels confront him soon after Crowley confirms that he is indeed still alive. The first angel that holds an angel's blade to Dean's neck asks Dean where Cass is. Dean, not knowing where Cass is, tells the angel that he won't say. The other angel that arrives stops the first from killing Dean. We later find out that the angel that saved Dean is named Ezekiel.

Now, the entire time this is going on, Sam is talking with himself inside his head. The part of his brain that wants him to fight is personified by Dean, and the side that wants him to give up because there's nothing left to fight for is represented by Bobby.

Castiel at this point, has gotten a ride from a man up in the mountains in Longmont, Colorado. The man gives him some money, and tells Cass to keep it, even when Castiel tries to refuse it. Cass then heads over to the payphone at the gas station he was dropped off at and when he tells a biker that he needs to use the phone immediately, the biker says no. Cass threatens the man and even tries to put him to sleep or smite him. When nothing works, Cass realizes he has no grace anymore. A young woman says she knows him and Cass says "I don't think so." but when the woman calls him Castiel, he turns and says that she's an angel. She replies, "Am I? What's an angel without its wings?" She also states that her name is Hale. Towards the end, Castiel kills her, because she was planning on killing him at the Grand Canyon. She threatens to tell the other angels where he is, but he kills her before that can happen.

Canyon in Arizona.
Back in Sam's mind, Sam makes a comment, after Dean and Bobby start fighting, that he can't hear himself think. An ironic statement for someone who's talking with their brain. He then heads on to a house that Bobby takes him to. Death is waiting inside the house for Sam at that point.

can bring him back once he goes with Death

At this point, Dean has been attacked by two other angels, but sent them away, this time with the question of where they go now that Heaven is closed. He walks back into the hospital room where Sam and Ezekiel are. Ezekiel states that they are out of good options and it may already be too late because Sam is so weak, but, Dean asks about the bad options.

Ezekiel states that he can posses Sam and heal both of them at the same time. Dean firmly tells Ezekiel that Sam would never say no to being possessed by anything. Ezekiel points out that Sam would say yes to Dean, and Dean reluctantly agrees.

Inside Sam's head, Ezekiel goes in disguised as Dean and tricks Sam into saying yes. Once Sam says yes, Ezekiel touches Sam and they are transported out.

After this, Ezekiel's vessel is shown in place of Sam in the hospital. Outside, Ezekiel in Sam's body and Dean talk. Dean wants to tell Sam but Ezekiel points out that if Sam knows he said yes unwillingly, he could eject Ezekiel at any time. Dean agrees and lets Ezekiel wipe all of Sam's memories up until the point where he and Dean had seen the angels falling.

At this point, Cass has killed Hale and come to terms with being human. He stops by a local laundromat and makes a decision on whether to wash his clothes or to buy food.

He steals someone else's clothes and decides to buy a bottle of water. He now has to cope with all that comes with being a human, like sleeping, eating, and drinking. The last scene is with Sam and Dean talking in the Impala about what happened. Dean keeps his promise of staying silent and not telling Sam about Ezekiel still being inside Sam.
